‘Harper’ the ethereal angel of the canine world-affectionate & joyful & also so accommodating & gentle great with other dogs

‘Harper’ if she was a sound produced by an instrument she would be the Harp-‘elegant, soothing, often described as mellow, and ethereal, with a distinctive quality’. She isn’t any less noticeable because she doesn’t persist on being seen- in many ways she’s more striking because of it. The reason she isn’t focused on during the showcase I compiled isn’t just because she is the background beauty at times though also because I was concentrating on others that I’d gone there specifically to photograph. It was later in the week when I was creating catalogues for others at risk in the enclosure that she caught my attention. There are so many needy homeless boys & girls. How do we choose which to help if we can’t save them all? But there she was navigating the activity that my presence stirred with the same enthusiasm as her buddies combined with a delightful grace that sets her apart. In some ways as beautiful as she most certainly is with a sprinkling of collie/ shepherd I’d say she could also be viewed as the underdog. But then isn’t every abandoned rescue that? Harper, the name we gave her, has never known love & has never belonged. Her crime? She’s a dog & she didn’t matter enough to be relevant to anyone. We don’t discriminate against people & nor do we exercise bias against an animal because of where they were born. We are searching for the person who knows that all animals matter and want to make her their priority & companion through life. She’ll happily fit into households with 1 up to several occupants whether single or family living. She’s just an all rounder with so much tranquility & serenity to her presence.
