Glen
Some dogs demand attention the moment they enter a room. Glen doesn't need to. With one quiet glance, he has already found his way into your heart. This handsome five-year-old carries himself with gentle confidence, a cheerful spirit and a remarkable ability to connect with both people and other dogs. Neither boisterous nor timid, Glen is wonderfully balanced, making him the sort of companion who fits naturally into everyday life. Whether it's peaceful countryside walks, adventures by the coast, afternoons in a secure park or simply sharing the comfort of home, he asks for very little beyond love and belonging. After spending far too long as an overlooked face in the crowd, Glen is ready to become someone's everything.

About the dog
‘Glen’ a nicely proportioned personable fella of 5 who can almost look into your soul with his eyes. He likes to spend time with people & other dogs & is a cracking little all rounder ©
A little bit about Glen in the charities words Our charity helps vulnerable dogs in all kinds of threatening situations & every month when the next fortunate souls leave to travel to the door of their new family another dog at risk will make an imprint in my mind & I vow to help them. On this occasion it was ‘Glen’ as he would later be christened. Until then he had no name. He was just a number to the masses. But behind that numeral was a petite boy who had never been cherished and had been thrown away like he was litter. When he was abandoned he generated towards other stricken souls his only comfort. He was an unobtrusive faceless boy used to being ignored. Then he was taken to a government shelter to be castrated and that’s when I saw him in a cage flooded with urine, no blanket and without hope. Glen was due to be returned to his homeless misery where dogs are commonly exposed to the dangers of nature & man. He remains at risk unless our charity can find him a home. It wasn’t just that he caught my eye it’s that Glen never took his off me. Not once did he divert his focus from my persons and behind his unwavering gaze was something that cannot be defined by words. How can these intelligent & sensitive animals be worthless to our species? Described as ‘shy’ by the resident Vet when he first arrived the amiable boy just needed time to know that he is priceless - or at least he will be when his special person adopts him. Is that you? What we love about Glen is his well proportioned body, his moderate size (not too much for an older person either) & jaunty nature. Other dogs are great around him and he mixes superbly with them. He doesn’t show dominance or docility he just offered friendship. He reminds me of Al Capone & Sean Connery combined. He’s got a cheeky aura as well as being super cool like James Bond. His spirit, courage & zest for his improved circumstances (even if only marginally better) are poignant to behold. He offers everything a person could want and we envision him in so many different households from the single gent living alone to families & younger couples going camping for instance. Glen would be ecstatic with walks round the block & a beach / or canal walk as well as longer jaunts. He doesn’t need fast or slow lane- he just wants love, a morning cuddle, an afternoon stroll and a run around a secure park from time to time. What a mellow and joyful companion he will make someone. We just need that person who’s going to change his future to step forward.
