Shauna
Shauna is a beautiful Shepherd–Collie cross puppy, around 4–6 months old, with a spirited and inquisitive nature. Despite a difficult start in life after being abandoned with her sister Shannon and growing up in a municipal shelter, Shauna remains a gentle, loving little soul who is eager to experience the world and finally belong to someone. She is friendly with other dogs, has been around cats and respectful children, and will grow into a medium–small sized companion. Shauna is the more confident of the two sisters, curious and keen to be involved in everything around her, though she is still a sensitive young pup who will truly flourish in a warm, patient home where she can receive the attention and security she has never known. She can be adopted separately or together with her sister Shannon, and is ready to begin the happy life every puppy deserves.
About Shauna
AVAILABLE- Shepherd collie X pup ‘Shauna’ 4-6months old. She’s a beautiful & spirited little lady. A little about me in my own words (please remember that humans are not defined by their pasts alone- neither are we). I’m told I might have a bit of shepherd & collie in me though I don’t know much about these things. Alls I’ve really known of my brief time on this earth is neglect, abandonment & indifference. So if you’re looking to rescue not buy & help a dog really in need that would be me. On top of that when I thought it couldn’t get any worse we were orphaned somehow - was our mother hurt? Were we taken from her? Leesa said this is very normal in some parts. The consequence for us is that we were left in a municipality shelter as babies & here we continue to be st risk of homelessness or being taken by someone who isn’t so kind. You can chat to leesa to learn more. We are vulnerable to the threats of nature & man & that’s why we need you to pick us. I say ‘we’ because I have a sister called ‘Shannon’. She’s more bashful than me though I’m not like every pup you meet. I’ve had to survive & can be self-sufficient which can be a bonus for an owner sometimes. Leesas mum named us and like so many other dogs in our predicament the welfare is trying to save us before it’s too late. We are advertised separately which is no different than a breeder would do as not everyone wants two dogs. We know we are related that’s our instinct and we take comfort from one another though not joined at the hip. I’m the more forthcoming one and my sister often huddles behind me so if you wanted two dogs and used to that then of course we can be adopted together. We really get on. They say if you have one you may as well have two :) and we can keep each other busy so often this can be a beneficial way forward. If you have resident dogs &/ or friends & family with pooches then we will love that as you see in our videos. As we don’t have a past we particularly remember & we were here from an early age that means we don’t have baggage only sadness currently. Nobody wants us & never have. Will you be the person to change that? Having said that leesa helps all manner of older dogs after horrific abuse & unless she told you you would never know. We don’t let it define us & we just keep loving & moving forward. It’s very boring here and not very comfortable & we are trying to get to better times. Just to be someone’s 1% would be an improvement. We’ve never been that let alone 100%. We will be fine around cats, respectful children & are used to people & even walks from time to time. I’m very pretty like my sister. I’m inquisitive & desperate to get amongst things as you can see. With all the natural chaos in places like this it’s not always possible to find the tranquility to work my way to the front first though I’m never far behind. I’m passive, gentle & need your home to truly flourish where it’s cheerful and I’ve got lots of time & attention from people. Please choose either one of us.
