Hazel

Hazel is a darling 6-month-old puppy bursting with playful, joyful energy and a personality that will keep you smiling. Found alongside her siblings and brought into a shelter where they remain at risk, Hazel has grown up relying on human care and is now searching for a safe, loving home to call her own. She’s everything you’d expect from a puppy—bouncy, vocal, affectionate, and full of life—but with her own funny little quirks. Hazel loves interaction and can get adorably excitable, playing games of hide-and-seek before rolling over for tummy rubs when you find her. She’s smart, communicative, and thrives on attention, though like any young dog she’ll need guidance, patience, and commitment as she continues to grow. Whether as an only dog with regular playdates or alongside canine companions, Hazel is ready to bring laughter, love, and a whole lot of personality into the right home.

About Hazel

AVAILABLE- darling female puppy of 6months old. We called her ‘Hazel’ & she’s everything you’d expect a puppy to be-playful, vocal & joyful

A little about me in my own words (please remember that humans are not defined by their pasts alone- neither are we).

We were brought into the shelter (where we remain at risk) having been found in the same area so it’s thought that we are a litter of three. In any event we took comfort together & continue as any dog does to benefit from each other’s presence.

You can ask the rescuer about our predicament & she’ll explain more. She mostly focuses on older dogs though our plight caught her attention.

We are not traumatised babies & have little recollection of our mum or the neglect however we are the old dog of tomorrow and currently very vulnerable.

It’s a good thing that we had little time out there in the big bad world before we were taken to a government pound but this will be our downfall when we are recycled back into abandonment. Worse still given we could be given to a bad person with a chain & black heart.

We wouldn’t know what had hit us if that happened. We have relied on humans for food & safety & we cannot fend for ourselves having been here since our very early months. We don’t want to trust the wrong person either.

It’s a huge bonus that we don’t have a past (though dogs that do are usually adjusted as we never lose faith in humans).

That means that I’m no different to any pup you see at least not in my opinion or Leesa’s- except a couple of things- I’m not a pedigree & you’d be saving my life if you adopt me.

I’m super cute.

How do I differ from the other two pups?

Well I know you’d expect most puppies to be bouncy, wiggly, tummy rubs all round, cheerful & wanting your attention & I’m all those things though we do have our own personalities shining through.

I’m a funny little character in the best possible way and will bring hours of laughter for dog savvy children & adults alike.

I play a cat and mouse with you- sometimes I’m the cat & sometimes I’m the mouse.

I desperately want interaction & I don’t know where to put myself when I get it- I’m all of-a-do.

I have this hide-n-seek side and when you find me I flip over for tummy rubs.

I’m getting used to what it is to be liked so much when I have visitors (not often enough).

It’s boring in here.

I had no idea I was so irresistible until now.

Because there is competition & I get excited, I can be vocal. leesa tells me it’s very endearing.

I’m smart & communicate with you.

What households would I be suited to?

Well I’m a puppy so this includes many homes though experience & understanding of puppies/ infant dogs are required leesa says.

Everyone knows what a puppy is like & that’s why people often want us though we are not a novelty.

Please only apply for me if you are serious & committed to providing the right ongoing care.

If I’m an only dog I’d like access to my own kind for doggy play dates / day care etc.

if you’re used to having 2-3dogs from puppyhood onwards then consider adopting more than one of us though this isn’t required.

We are advertised individually.

You’ll see my sisters in the gallery of pictures.
