Gordon
Gordon is a tiny 6kg boy of around 3–4 years old with the most soulful eyes and a heart full of resilience. After being neglected and abandoned, left to fend for himself and covered in ticks simply because no one cared for him, Gordon has every reason to have lost trust — yet he hasn’t. Instead, he remains a sociable, affectionate, and quietly spirited little dog who enjoys the company of other dogs and is beginning to embrace a brighter future. He may carry a hint of sadness, but there’s also a brave little “lion” in him who refuses to give up. Gordon is still at risk and is now searching for his soulmate — someone who will give him the love, safety, and warm lap he has always deserved, where he can finally feel cherished and secure.
About Gordon
Gordon’ little 6kg man of 3-4yrs old. How could anyone abandon him? Gordon is looking for his soulmate ©
A little bit about me in my own words I was vulnerable when I was deserted. Before that I wasn’t cherished or considered worthy of love. Leesa the rescue owner tells me that my face could melt a glazier & it wasn’t my fault that I suffered neglect & indifference. Everyone has heard of ticks. Dogs get them on walks in the countryside etc. even though they have monthly treatment. I got them because noone cared enough about me to pull them out & protect my 6kg body from the dangers out there. I was left wondering around too tiny to fend for myself (few of us can whatever our side) & so lonely.
You can see sadness in my eyes. However there is a part II to this story & that’s the little Lion you see who is so spirited that I’ll not let my bad fortune get me down. I’m sociable, affable & on the up. I like other dogs and share a pen presently with other diminutive souls like myself in the shelter where I was taken after being made homeless.
Leesa tells me I’m still at risk because apparently it’s a government pound where we will be redistributed to the dusty tracks again &/or given away to possibly the wrong sort of ‘owner’. You’ll have to ask the welfare about that as I don’t understand it all. I just overheard Leesa say that I was ‘at risk’. She & her organisation have plans for me though so I can enjoy a lap & continue to prosper in my new found hope. Part III will be you- the person who chooses me.
Thank you for listening Love Gordon
