Brambling’s Ready for Her Next Chapter—Will It Be With You?

See her video showcase here

When you adopt a dog from abroad, you’re not just giving them a home—you’re rewriting their entire story. From fear to freedom, your love becomes the chapter they never thought they’d live

Darling girl Brambling has several sisters from the same litter called ‘Linnet’, ‘Bunting’ & ‘Miriam’- two of which are adopted to lovely families in Devon. They look like pedigree siblings who have always been happy in life. The reality was & is very different as they all started out at risk in a country known for its appalling hostility towards dogs & animals (please ask to learn more). The pups were all abandoned in a remote village where they had no chance of help or survival. They were then taken to a government pound where they remained vulnerable.

As a welfare we dedicate ourselves to changing that stark fact by finding them homes. Bunting was the first fortunate girl to be picked & as time ticked on linnet and Brambling became urgent appeals.

Luckily linnet also got adopted & Brambling was sent to foster to save her on the same transport. We hope to help Miriam too. Her catalogue is also available- ask for details.

This is their unfortunate past & Brambling like all these affectionate souls got through it and it clearly doesn’t define her. She bounced back with her joyful spirit holding onto hope & putting her faith in us humans again. In the words of her foster family who we thank for their continued support-we give you Bramblings U.K. journey.

“Brambling is absolutely brilliant with people. She’ll often come up to you on her own for a fuss or a bit of attention and she loves a good cuddle on the sofa though only if there’s a blanket! She wasn’t too keen on our sofa until we put one down but now she’s more than happy to snuggle up and relax. She’s respectful of other dogs boundaries most of the time and is generally very well behaved. She’ll sit patiently and wait for her dinner which shows just how eager she is to please. At mealtimes, she currently has two handfuls of Harringtons kibble mixed with half a tin of Butcher’s. She eats it all up with great enthusiasm! She’s still getting used to the outside world but she’s making steady progress with every walk. Each time, she gets that little bit braver and more confident. Brambling is very curious and clearly values company so she’d thrive in a family that includes her in day-to-day life. Whether you're doing jobs around the house or settling down for the evening, she just wants to be part of it all. She’s also super food-motivated and loves a variety of treats gravy bones, chicken feet, and filled hooves are some of her favourites. Watching her enjoy them is a real joy! She’s not the biggest fan of baths and struggles a bit with staying in but we’ve managed to bathe her twice now, once after she had a good roll in the dust on one of our walks! She’s learning and with reassurance and patience she’s getting there.

She’s a gentle, loving girl who just wants to be near you and feel like part of the family. Whether it’s pottering about the house or snoozing by your side, Brambling makes a brilliant companion.
